§ 82.234. Conditions for issuance.

  • Each parade permit shall be subject to and shall state the following conditions:

    (1)

    All materials used in the construction of floats shall be subject to requirements concerning fire safety as may be determined by the fire chief;

    (2)

    The permittee shall advise all participants in the parade, either orally or by written notice, of the terms and conditions of the permit prior to the commencement of the parade;

    (3)

    No participant in the parade may deviate from the parade route as it is described in the permit application;

    (4)

    The parade shall continue to move at a fixed rate of speed not exceeding ten miles per hour and any delay or stopping by any participant in the parade, except when reasonably required for the safe and orderly conduct of the parade, shall constitute a violation of the permit; and

    (5)

    Any other requirements found by the chief of police to be reasonably necessary for the protection of persons or property.
