§ 82.235. Issuance.

Latest version.
  • The chief of police shall issue a parade permit to the parade chairman, unless the chief of police notifies the chairman in writing that:

    (1)

    The date; times when the parade will assemble, start or terminate; route; location of the assembly area; location of the disbanding area; or size of the parade will disrupt to an unreasonable extent the movement of other traffic;

    (2)

    The parade is of a size or nature that it requires the diversion of so great a number of police officers to properly police the line of movement and the areas contiguous thereto, that allowing the parade would deny reasonable police protection to the rest of the city;

    (3)

    The parade will interfere, with regard to proposed route, police supervision or other material factors, with another parade for which a permit has been issued; or

    (4)

    The information contained in the application is found to be false or incorrect in any material respect.
