§ 34.156. Seizure; impoundment.

  • (a)

    A police officer may cause any abandoned personal property to be seized if the property appears to be connected to criminal activity or may otherwise be useful as evidence in a criminal matter.

    (b)

    The chief of police may provide for the impoundment and storage of impounded property in any manner consistent with this division by the city or by contract with an impoundment agency.
