§ 90.055. Insurance required.

  • Each holder of a certificate for the operation of a limousine service shall at all times during the term of the certificate maintain a policy of liability insurance issued by an insurance company authorized to do business in the state on all motor vehicles operated under the certificate in the following minimum amounts: $100,000.00 for bodily injury to any one person; $300,000.00 for injuries to all persons in the same accident; and $100,000.00 for property damage resulting from any one accident. The holder shall submit certificates verifying this coverage which shall be reviewed by the city attorney and filed with the city secretary. The policies shall not be cancelled except after ten days' written notice to the city secretary. Failure of the certificate holder to file the certificates as required by this section or failure to keep them in force shall immediately forfeit and make null and void the certificate and all rights under it shall at once cease without the necessity of further action by the city council.
