§ 34.158. Redemption of impounded property.

  • The owner or any person legally entitled to possession of any impounded property may redeem it as follows:

    (1)

    Before sale, by paying to the city or the impounding agency the fees set under section 34.157.

    (2)

    After sale, by paying to the buyer 1 1/3 times the amount paid for the property and any reasonable expenses incurred by the buyer for keeping it, provided that the property must be redeemed within 30 days after the date of the sale or title to the property becomes absolute in the buyer.
