§ 74.155. Exemption from or reduction of permit fee.

(a)

The following are exempted from permit fees in this article:

(1)

A public services provider that has a current valid franchise agreement;

(2)

Certificated telecommunications providers are exempted from permit fees as provided in Section 283.056(f) of the Texas Local Government Code as amended;

(3)

TXDOT construction projects;

(4)

Contractors performing work for the city in the public-right-of way.

(b)

The permit fees shall be reduced or eliminated for any applicant for a permit if so provided in a written tax abatement and economic development incentive agreement between the applicant and the city.
