§ 62.026. Fines and special expenses.

Members of the police department shall have the authority to make arrests pursuant to the issuance and service of warrants. Pursuant to Vernon's C.C.P. art. 45.06, the municipal court shall collect a special expense in the maximum amount permitted for each warrant issued and served under V.T.C.A., Penal Code § 38.11 and under V.A.C.S. art. 6701d, § 149. Any monies collected shall be placed in the general fund in a special account to be used to pay for expenses related to the service of those warrants.
