§ 2.371. Employee classification schedule.

(a)

All city employment positions, except for fire fighters and police officers subject to civil service regulations, are divided between those that are exempt from payment of overtime (exempt positions) and those that are not exempt from payment of overtime (nonexempt positions).

(b)

Exempt positions include:

(1)

Positions filled by city council appointment; and

(2)

Positions in salary grades 41 through 49 and 55 through 60 of the city employee classification schedule.

(c)

Nonexempt positions include positions in salary grades 11 through 19 and 21 through 26 of the city employee classification schedule.
