§ 14.124. Dining facilities.

(a)

New commercial and institutional garbage disposals must be equipped with flow restrictors and solenoid shutoff valves.

(b)

Existing commercial and institutional garbage disposals must be retrofitted with flow restrictors and solenoid shutoff valves.

(c)

New commercial and institutional ice machines should be equipped with air-cooled, instead of water-cooled, condensers. If a water-cooled model is used, the cooling system must be equipped with a water recycling system.

(d)

Pre-rinse spray valves must be equipped with positive shutoff devices and must meet the 1.6 gallons per minute performance standard established under Texas Health and Safety Code Section 372.005.
